The Art of Carl Brenders
Carl Brender's’ images are watercolor and gouache paintings, rendered in painstaking detail with the single hair of a paintbrush! Brenders paints every detail of his wildlife images - feathers, hair, leaves, or pine needles - until he says they "get into my skin." When one of his wolf paintings "One to One" was published it had a overwhelming effect in the market.
Brender's naturalistic palette and lush details make his work a handsome addition to any rustic country home or lodge-look interior. He is widely collected in North America, France, Germany, Japan, Spain, Holland, Argentina and in his native Belgium. His art is the subject of the critically acclaimed book, "Wildlife: The Nature Paintings of Carl Brenders", published by Harry N. Abrams in association with Mill Pond Press. His artwork is regularly exhibited in the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum’s prestigious "Birds in Art" and "Wildlife in Art" shows.
